Xelva Foundation / Xelva Coin | Building a Circular Economy Through Blockchain and Regenerative Finance

Creating a token-powered circular economy that rewards environmental action, enables transparent waste management, and connects communities, businesses, and regenerative finance.

We supported the development of a token-based ecosystem designed to activate a circular economy around environmental regeneration, waste recovery, and community participation. Through $XELVA, the project integrates blockchain technology, circular economy principles, and regenerative finance to transform waste into measurable value, incentivize sustainable behavior, and create a transparent economic network for citizens, volunteers, businesses, collection centers, and environmental initiatives.

The project is rooted in the environmental challenges of Tulum, Mexico, where plastic waste, glass, cardboard, cigarette butts, and other materials are affecting beaches, jungles, biodiversity, and local communities. XELVA Foundation’s model uses blockchain to record, certify, and create accountability around waste collection and recycling activities, while also enabling participants to use $XELVA within an ecosystem of ecological products, sustainable services, donations, and waste-management solutions.

Key achievements:

  • Designed the conceptual framework for a token-powered circular economy focused on environmental regeneration and community participation.

  • Created a model where $XELVA functions as a utility token to reward volunteers, citizens, and ecosystem participants who contribute to cleanup, recycling, and waste-management activities.

  • Supported the development of a blockchain-based structure to record and certify waste collection and material management, strengthening transparency and traceability.

  • Integrated the token into a broader Regenerative Finance — ReFi — ecosystem, connecting environmental impact with digital assets, community incentives, and sustainable economic participation.

  • Helped position $XELVA as a tool for community rewards, allowing participants to receive tokens for contributing to cleanup and recycling initiatives.

  • Built a framework for businesses and service providers to accept $XELVA as a payment method, strengthening a network of environmentally responsible consumers and merchants.

  • Supported the expansion of use cases such as paying for trash management, recycling services, ecological products, and sustainable services through the XELVA ecosystem.

  • Connected the token economy with the XELVA Circula Program, a circular-economy initiative developed alongside Tulum Circula to recover, classify, and reintegrate waste into productive cycles.

  • Developed a scalable structure that can expand beyond Tulum into other regions, supporting environmental education, species protection, waste recovery, and circular economy programs.

  • Helped translate environmental action into measurable economic value by linking cleanup activities, recycling, donations, payments, and blockchain-based transparency into one integrated ecosystem.

Impact highlights from the ecosystem:

  • The project builds on the work of Gorillae Gang NFT, which evolved into Gorillae A.C. / XELVA Foundation, formalized in Cancún on May 10, 2023, with the mission of combining blockchain technology and concrete environmental action.

  • Through its collaboration with Tulum Circula, the ecosystem reported the recovery of 165 tons of cardboard, 412 tons of glass, 311 kg of cigarette butts, and 104 tons of PET in 2023.

  • The initiative allows users to contribute by buying $XELVA, donating directly, accepting $XELVA as a payment method, or using $XELVA to support proper waste recycling through collection centers connected to the XELVA Circula Program.

Strategic significance:XELVA is not only a token project; it is a regenerative infrastructure model. It combines blockchain, circular economy, environmental impact, community rewards, merchant adoption, donations, and waste-management services into a single ecosystem designed to make sustainability measurable, participatory, and economically viable.
